Well when the engine light came on when I went to get gas it clicked at $ 6.00 it takes my car $ 30.00 to fill up, I do not know how much gas is in my car at any given time. before they replaced the fuel sensor it stayed at a 1/2 a tank. When they did the second fuel sensor now it is staying at a full tank.

The gas gauge would not register correctly. I would fill up the tank and as I drove it would slowly go down to empty. I ended up resetting the the trip meter so I would know about how how much gas I had in the tank. Then the check engine would go on and off. I had a recalled air bag so the dealer checked it out and stated it was the gas sensors a $800 fix. I figured I would just deal with it. Then my check engine light eventually always stayed on and it failed the emissions test in the spring. Now it had to be fixed $750 at an independent mechanic at 143,000 miles. I wonder how many others are having this problem.

I keep running out of gas... the MPG isn’t reading correctly. I try and calculate miles but it’s very inaccurate. I’ve run out of gas at least 2 times per month since it began, and when it dies I loose all power steering and it’s very hard to move off the road. This could really cause serious injury if it happens on a busy interstate again. I’m actually afraid for my life and with everything electrical and fuel related breaking at once it makes for a very expensive fix. I wish they would go ahead and recall this part. I’ve read about plenty of other cars like mine having the same issues.
