1. speed sensor- replaced by recall and continue to fail. 2. rear glass in hatchback, just broke origination from wiper hole in glass while the car was occupied sitting not moving a a parking lot. 3. steering rattles because a shock damper wears out prematurely. 4. seats- electric control button contacts tarnish with use and quit working.

While driving at varying speeds, while going over speed bumps, turning corner, more noticeable at slower speeds, is a clicking noise & almost feels like a momentary lose of control of the steering. Not sure if it has to do with adaptable steering (sport, comfort, normal) control's, or the main controls of the steering.

For the past 12-14 mos I've had to add additional 1-4 quarts of oil after verifying low oil on dip stick in between regularly scheduled oil changes at Firestone. They noted Dec 2019 internal oil leakage. Oil light never came on. Most recently Feb 14, 2020 check engine light came on checked dip stick twice it only had oil on tip, added 2 quarts oil, light went off. Check eng light came on few days later, repeated dip stick check =added 3 more quarts oil few days later. Repeated several xs throughout Feb 2020. Paid 3 separate mechanics all stated internal oil leak. 1 mechanic stated had several customers with same complaint. He informed me check with dealer for 1 recall or 2 extended warranty & due to oil consumption problem. He estimated approx $5K + to rebuild engine, piston rings issue. I called dealer asked cost for them to check was quoted MINI139 to start. When they emailed appointment confirmation, I confirmed appmt Mar 14, 2020 & asked 1. if a recall existed 2. if extended warranted covered it. When I got there today I asked same 2 questions & was told to pay $42 for oil change #1 today & bring car every 1000 miles 3 more times free of charge so they can track internal oil leak. Was told extended warranty only went to 120,000, my car's @ 125,600. I asked why I wasnt informed of this extended warranty as I received letter last year when I brought car in for courtesy software update & 2018 another courtesy check, they couldnt explain. I feel if I didnt use buzz words 4th mechanic told me I would have been charged more $. a mechanic 3 days ago said I needed exhaust manifold catalytic convtr $1244 & new spark plugs & coils $703. Infomed this mechanic I pd $600 approx 6 mos ago for spark plugs due to hesitation in acceleration & jerky & sputtery motion. I feel like Hyundai is aware of this problem & I read similar issues resulting in fires. I'm still payin on car.

Using the car in eco when entering the interstate I'm speeding up my car goes higher in rpms and is not shifting to correct the change and I'll have to flip it into manual and shift into a higher gear. This has happened at least 3 times and does not happen every time but the first time almost got me hit by a car because I couldn't slow down due to timing and also was not speeding up correctly due to the car not auto correcting.

Steering felt "weird" from the moment I left the lot with my new car. Test drive on a similar vehicle was fine. The car wanders all over the road, requires constant steering to keep a straight track. My 40 mile trip home was spent fighting the wheel, not enjoying my new car....which I love otherwise. I will not keep this car if the steering cannot be fixed, other driver's have had the same complaint.

I was making a right turn out of a shopping plaza onto a main highway when the traction control engaged because of fresh wet roads, a loud boom came from the passenger side front. Right after the boom the SUV revved up and the SUV had total loss of power and wouldn't move forward at all. I coasted to the side of the road. I put the SUV in park, shut it off. After restarted SUV had full working power with drive and reverse5X. Vehicle is now at dealer for inspection for damage/(safety).

Vehicle was purchased around June 3 2012, at the time of the test drive I noticed a lot of wind noise in the cabin and the vehicle would not stay in a straight line at 55 mph, it would sway left to right. Against my better judgment I still purchased this vehicle. The sales person informed me that the reasons why the vehicle performed the way it did was because it was a very windy. To this date the vehicle still sways left to right when driving over 55 mph and the cabin noise is driving me crazy. This is a serious safety issue that Hyundai will need to fix quickly. When speaking with the shop manager he made it sound liked no one else was having these problems, maybe they need to read the complaints on this site. Seats:I too have experience the driver seat being very lose and rocking. I took it to the dealership and they said they tightened the bolts but it didn't take but a day to realize that this wasn?T a total fix. Each time I take it back they just say they locked the bolts down but will not do any paperwork on it and. Sunroof: My sunroof makes a whistling noise when I drive during windy conditions. I took it back to the dealership and they too heard the noise. But told me that there is nothing that can be done about it and that they are waiting for a tsb (technical service bulletin) in order to correct this issue. Three months after I purchased the vehicle my back passenger rear window blew out at 60 mph and they wouldn't cover it under warranty since they didn"T know what caused the window to blow. I've now had the care for 10 months now and still they have not fixed this issue. I have been a super supporter of Hyundai but how can I continue to recommend this company if they advertise they have the best warranty and customer service but wont follow through" Hyundai needs to fix this and make it right with us owners.

Vehicle was purchased around January 30th, 2013, at the time of the test drive I noticed a lot of wind noise in the cabin and the vehicle would not stay in a straight line at 55 mph, it would sway left to right. Against my better judgment I still purchased this vehicle. The sales person informed me that the reasons why the vehicle performed the way it did was because it was a very windy. The next day I contacted the sales person and advised him that I was still having the same problems. He had me bring the vehicle into the shop and they checked the tires air pressure and wheel alignment. They made up some story that the vehicles are transported with 50 psi on the tires and this was the cause of the problem. To this date the vehicle still sways left to right when driving over 55 mph and the cabin noise is driving me crazy. This is a serious safety issue that Hyundai will need to fix quickly. I have now made another appointment with the shop because the driver seat started to feel loose when applying the brakes or slowing down. This vehicle has too many safety issues and now with only 1500 miles on the vehicle I am forced to take it to the shop. When speaking with the shop manager he made it sound liked no one else was having these problems, maybe they need to read the complaints on this site.
