rodent damage to wiring

First time this has happened to all the vehicles I have purchased. The service department mentioned they make soy based wiring for the newer vehicles. I am so livid. Why? To save money? The cost for newer vehicles are insane as it is. All auto companies should have this cheap wiring system under warranty.
