Santa Fe Sport

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with less than 70,000 miles, and the engine went into "Limp Mode" while driving home on the freeway and then the engine stalled coming off the offramp. It restarted, but just barely. I was able to limp 2 more blocks to my residence, then it completely died. I had it towed to a repair place, they pulled the codes which indicated either ECU needs to be updated or engine replaced, according to the TSB associated with code P1326. ECU was supposedly updated last year due to a recall. Just hope the dealer will cover any repairs under Hyundai warranty. If not, dealer that sold the vehicle, will be having vehicle returned to them. We still owe more than it is worth. Will never buy another Hyundai or apparently Kia (same problem) ever again.
