The air bag light was on for the first time in 2010 or 2011, I went to the auto repair of the local Hyundai dealer, they did computer screen and I was told it was a sensor problem. It cost me ~100$.

However the air bag light was on AGAIN after a couple months. I took the car back to the same dealer repair shop, after spending another 100$, I was told it was fixed. What I don't like is, I was told that I should not place anything under the driver seat to trigger the sensor. OK, I thought cars are designed to be robust, a plastic bottle under the driver seat should not be big deal. OK, maybe hyundai cars are very sensitive. I paid more attention since then.

Once again, the air bag light was on after another 5-6 months. I think it is because I moved the driver seat forward a little bit. But Hyundai cars just could take this much movement, the sensor was somehow trigger again. It was such a painful experience, and the guy in the repair shop of local dealer told me it is my responsibility. Sorry, I didn't know I am not supposed to move my driver seat. I was also told that if it happens again, they have to take the seat out and do some major replacing and repairing, and I have to pay around 1000$ before tax.

For the fourth time, the air bag light was on a few days ago, I am just so frustrated with this problem, and so tired to deal with the people in the repair shop of local dealer.

From my experiences with Korean products these years, either LCD TV or car, yes, they are cheaper and look nicer, but I would stay away from them in the rest of my life. I would not buy or recommend to anyone about Hyundai cars or other Korean products.
