Sonata GLS V6

  • CVT transmission

I spent $100 to get freeon in my car because the AC was out. One month later we were going to go on a road trip so I had my timing belt changed as I was at 120000 miles. 4 hours out on the trip, my AC stopped working. I took it in to see what the problem was and was told that it is my condenser and that they would have to order the part. Now I have to spend about $200 on the part, $100 for the freeon and ejection, and $200 in labor. That, coupled with the $750 timing belt cost and my headlight went out on the trip made for some expenses that I wasn't prepared for. I'm actually getting the AC fixed next week. I've been driving in the middle of summer without AC for the last three weeks. Not fun.

Why is my Hyundai falling apart at only 100K? My air conditioning stopped working mid summer. The repairs have included new seals, new actuator and weld in air conditioning radiator.
