Sonata

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

Every 2-3 months a headlight burns out. It's been happening for a few years.

Sonata ES V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I have to replace each low beam head light every 3 months, first one goes out and then a couple of weeks later, the other goes out. I buy the best light for about $22 each. This time I bought the $10 light, seems wasteful to spend $44 every couple of months. Very inconvenient to buy and install.

problem #3

Sonata GS 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

At $25 a copy, Hyundai should fix this defect. It is always the headlight on the passenger side that goes and always the low beam. Also, the clock quite working 50K ago.

It seems that Hyundai has a lot of electrical problems to address.

Would be nice if Hyundai have a tech bulletin on it!

Sonata V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

I love my 2005 Sonata, but I am so very disappointed due to the problems I've had with the headlights and tail lights. I've bought many replacement lights and also had to go to court due to being stopped by the police and ticketed. The headlights and the tail lights go out all the time. I've had a mechanic look at it who said just needed to replace the bulb. I'm sure there has got to be something more wrong with my car. I am at my wits end.
