The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the brake lights frequently blew out; they were replaced fifteen times. The dealer was contacted and they informed the contact that there were no recalls and advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised the contact to take the vehicle in for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The current mileage was approximately 88,000. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

Sonata

The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The rear deck stop light in the back was inoperative. The failure to notify other drivers of intentions increased the risk for a vehicle crash. A technician concluded that because the manufacturer did not design an access port, they would have to remove the entire rear deck in order to replace the light bulb. He was in the process of having the vehicle repaired. The current and failure mileages were 40,000.
