The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while attempting to open the passenger side door, the door handle completely fractured. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where he was advised that because the door handle was designed from plastic, the cold weather would cause the plastic to break. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000.
