It is clear the supplier of sunvisors manufactured substandard parts. Both sunvisors failed within months of each other. Dealer wouldn't cover them under warranty. Things like this seemingly minor defects are what separates good OEMs from Mickey Mouse manufacturers. For reference, my 2000 Sienna does not have issues like this.
