First incident, traveling md 4 when tire indicator came on dash board (May 2014) back passenger tire had huge bulge at rim of hubcap with hissing sound due to escaping air (4 31816 215/60R16 yoko avid touring -S dot ccf1 F2712 purchased August 2013). Tire replaced at no cost to me due to no evident of damage inside the tire, thus a "defect" according to service tech. December 24, 2014 traveling on interstate 97 S; front passenger tire blew out without warning; ABS system slowed car down was able to move from second lanes to right shoulder without incident. Tire has about a 3-inch rip from rim up. With both tires, I was asked what did I hit and both times the answer was nothing. This is the second of four tires to go bad in a little over one year. I now feel the other two tires are ticking time bombs and my family and I may not be so fortunate the next time this happens.

The sidewalls have cracks in them, all 4 tires. They have been on the car for 2 years (installed November 2011) and have 6000 miles on them. The exact same tire that came on the car new, had to be replaced at 17,000 miles because of sidewall cracking. The original tires were 4 years old and all 4 had sidewall damage they have never been damaged and have always been properally inflated. The original tires were never damaged or under inflated. This is a manufacture defect and a safety issue. The car has never gone more than 7 days without being driven. It's usually driven every day or every other day.

2008 Hyundai Sonata. Consumer states discontent with denial of a online coupon, unresolved thumping, vibration that occurs when the vehicle is started. In addition the turn signal flasher/clicker is too quiet. The consumer stated the thumping and vibration occurred when he would drive away after the vehicle had been sitting overnight or it had been parked for 4-6 hours. After driving 3-5 miles, the thumping would go away, but not entirely. The thumping and vibration was felt in the steering. The consumer also stated the tires that came as standard equipment performed badly during snow and ice conditions. The tires did not grip properly. The consumer believed the problems were associated with the tires, because after the tires warm up, the thumping diminished quite a bit. The tires also had flat spots. The dealer replaced the flasher, but it didn't make any difference. The consumer stated it was still too quiet.
