This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
Driver side visor broke and would not stay up. Replaced under warranty. Now the passenger side visor has the same problem. We have had numerous vehicles over the years and we drive them forever. This is the first vehicle that has ever had an issue with a visor. My daughter has the same year Sonata and both her visors have broken as well.

Never had a visor fail before. Heard some internal "cracking" as I lowered visor and it never went up again. It just hangs loose (but no cracking sound anymore!). Dealer wants well over $100 to fix (think I was quoted $200 or so). The Time warranty ended 4 months before it broke so they refused to fix. I know of others who have the same problem with different model year Sonata.

the visor down all the time is no good for most driving, have to pin it up with a stick thru the handle by the driver door roof. junk yard wants $75 and have seen similar prices on line.

Passenger side visor broke and is danger to the passenger because of the angle the visor wants to be in. I have heard of people being scalped if they were to be in an accident.
