The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the exterior door handle on the rear passenger door detached from the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle repaired; however, the failure recurred to the exterior door handle on the rear driver side. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the handles needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated the front and rear passenger's side interior door handles fractured. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000. Updated 12/24/13 the consumer stated on October 1, 2013, both rear side(passenger and driver) exterior door handles broke off when trying to open them. The dealer quoted the consumer a price of $500 the vehicle was not repaired, due to the cost. Updated 12/26/13
