We have our car serviced regularly with oil changes. In fact we just recently had an oil change. We were driving the car and out of no where the engine light came on and the car just lost all power. We could hardly manage the steering wheel. We waited a few minutes and started it again and the same problem happened. I was told to take it straight to Hyundai because they have had engine issues and that they should replace it. We will see how that goes. The car has always been taken care of. This should not have happened.

Problem persisted intermittently, after replacing filters, sensors, spark plugs, fuel pump, battery. Turned out the computer was failing due to a false reading lockup in programming. A programming error caused it to fail and required an additional $3,000 to replace. I got a new car and washed my hands of this one before I lost my job and went bankrupt.

Car caught on fire in the middle of a 4 lane interstate going 60+ mph and completely loss power. Had to push it to side of road and tow it into dealership where they said the fuel pump needed to be replaced at a cost of $900. Then found out the entire fuel system line had to be replace due to the fire and the cost was now $2500. Paid to have it repaired and the car still loses power and dangerous times.

Over the past year, I have towed/taken my car into the dealership for loss of power/stalling/inoperable issues. The 1st time it stalled while parked at a gas pump. They said it was my car battery and charged me to replace it. A couple days later, it stalled again and would not jump. I towed it again and the Hyundai dealer fixed it stating that they re-positioned the battery terminals as well as "some other stuff". Not sure what all was done. Then a month later it stalled again and kept stalling sporadically throughout the year. Most times it drives ok then randomly stalls whether driving 60 mph or 20 mph. Lately, it has been stalling quite a bit, then one day last month it just stopped. I towed it into the dealer again and they told me the fuel pump needed to be replaced at the tune of $900. I knew someone who said they could replace it for $200 so I had the car towed again, only to discover that there was a fuel system electrical fire in the car. So I towed it back to the dealership and told them what I discovered (which I'm sure they also knew but neglected to tell me). They told me the car still wouldn't start and that the entire fuel system line had to be replaced to the tune of $2500. I paid to replace the entire fuel system line and the car is still randomly losing power in the middle of traffic, even on the dangerous freeway. I see others on this site are having a similar experience, so if there isn't a recall on this vehicle's year/make/model as yet, perhaps there should be. Not sure what to do next.
