In January 2014, just after a very heavy snow, my Sonata would not start. I believed it to be the battery as no power was being generated. I had it towed to the nearest dealership. They called and said they replaced the battery, but that wasn't the issue. They went on to say that the fuel injection system was bad. Furthermore, they attempted to inform me that this was not covered under my warranty. I believed them initially, and gave my permission to begin working on the vehicle.
After a conversation with a technician (friend for another company), I called the warranty company and inquired. Turns out, the issue was covered except for the deductible. The gentleman at the warranty company instructed me to call the dealership and tell them to stop work immediately, as the warranty cannot cover work that had already began. I did as they asked and then requested to speak with the general manager. He assured me that everything would be covered. My first verbal quote didn't include warranty coverage, so I more or less threw a fit and my bill disappeared. The dealership also completed multiple recalls during this visit (stop lamp switch, hydraulics for brakes, exterior lighting issues, etc).
No symptoms preceded this event other than the incessant issues with the electrical push-to-start button and the car refusing to allow me to switch gears.

I just spent $800 on this car in the past month taking it to get fixed. I always get the oil changed and I took it to Hyundai and asked them to see if anything was wrong with my car. They stated nothing was wrong with my engine. And I had them check my engine for problems from March 2016 until now.
