Sonata LX 2.5L

We have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that needs a new flex pipe and we were just told by our local dealership that the part is no longer made. Basically we are out of luck. Their answer - find someone to build you one. How can a car manufacturer just stop making an essential part to a 2011 vehicle.
