When going over smaller bumps at lower speeds the front end rattles. If the bumps are really bad the whole car sounds like its going to fall apart. I took out the struts to inspect them along with any bushing, everything looked good. When going very slow on minor bumps, I hear a slight rattle which seems like its coming somewhere by the steering column.

Really pay attention to how the suspensions react when hitting bumps (especially the front ones), when buying this car.

I bought my 2011 Sonata on March 9th 2016, After driving the car for a few weeks I noticed a rattle when I hit some bumpy areas, at first I thought I had too much air in my tiers, then a friend mentioned that it sounded like the suspension was acting up or may needed to be replaced in the front.
It is very annoying and feels like the handling is unstable when making turns, or maneuvering around a curvy road. Also makes the feel of driving the car feel less solid.

It is really a damn shame that since I brought this vehicle 2011 Hyundai, Sonata, it been at least 8 to 10 recalls. Then what was not on the recalls was out of pocket expense. Recently, I had to pay for new tires, because of the problem with the steering wheel column. The coupler had to be replaced a cost of $230 and now I am told that I have to get back axles because when I am driving it's a loud and clucking noise. Now that is a cost of $800. Really! If I had known theses vehicles had so many issues, I would have never investment in buying one. It's very difficult every time time your driving the car, you feel uneasy, not knowing what is going to happen next. The manufacturers should be held accountable for these issues. I

I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and there is a clunking noise coming from the front passenger suspension. I have had numerous issues with this vehicle, it is ridiculous. Each time I drive the car, go over a bump or turn the steering wheel there is a clunking noise coming from the front passenger side. I took it in to a local Hyundai dealership and they informed me it was the sway bar links. I replaced the sway bar links and still have issues with clunking noise. Very annoying.

This car in the 6 years of owning it has cost me more money than the older Nissan Pathfinder, Armada, Xterra, and Versa that are currently in the family and running great. There is a clicking sound when turning, I've had this repaired twice on both ends of front suspension.

This is not a problem that just occurred at any specific point in time. The car had a very rough ride from the 1st day of purchase. I was told it was because it was a sport tuned suspension. This car feels every bump in the road and makes for a very uncomfortable ride. The springs creak when going over bumps. I feel that it is just a horrible suspension which has caused the car to become a "rattlebox". This car makes so many noises in the cabin. I have no idea where they are coming from but they are very annoying.

Anytime I go over a bump, small or large, or even a pothole...there is a loud clanking, banging, or rattling sound coming from the front end of the car from tire/steering area. It also rattles when I get near 70mph. It sounds like the car is falling apart.

MODEL: Hyundai Sonata 2011 Limited
ISSUE: Rattling/Clunking/ Knocking Sound from Suspension
You have to know this issue about Sonata 2011 Limited. Shock/Strut Knocking at low speeds, 1mph to 40mph, sound is easily noticeable. I mostly drive on freeway/highways/toll and 90%, but the sound has started to become loud and annoying.
I am afraid of my dear life while driving this car since at speeds 60 and above the steering too is making knocking sounds and hard to control the car while on turns. This is common issue what I found from forums online and want this issue to be bought to Hyundai's notice to issue recall on suspension
This is a life threatening situation for any driver who is driving this car since I feel the frame or suspension would break while driving.

There's only one reason why you'd be changing the boots on a car that's a baby.... that reason is buying a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. WHAT. A. LEMON.
