inside of rim has developed a hairline crack
New Tires installed August, 2015
Loosing air since, At first I blamed it on the Cold Weather (TPMS)
Several return trips to Tire Dealer, Had valve stems tightened. 3 of the 4 are now holding air.
Trip back to Tire Dealer- Hairline Crack found. (Tiny Bubbles),,,,
Trip to Dealership to inform them of the crack, Warranty is still valid on the entire car. I'm told "wheels just don't crack", it must be from an Impact. If an Impact accured, the wheel would show further damage.
Since the wheel cracked... I'm thinking that its due to a defect in the wheel. Also, the wheel is part Alloy part Hardened Plastic.. Why would Hyundai choose to put a Plastic wheel on a car. You'll notice that the outside of the wheel is an Alloy, But take a look inside the wheel, It's a Black Hardened Plastic... Which is what I was told when i bought the car.. Hyundai chose this as a method of Reducing Weight.
