Excessive free play combined with sticking and jerking of the steering wheel, which go away at town speeds but return as a shimmy at interstate speed. Noticed the problem while driving to Denver and Stopped Hyundai dealer for help. They would not even try it in the parking lot unless I paid them $110 to try to diagnose the problem!, I did turn the steering wheel of a new Hyundai and they tried to me a new Hyundai Sonata. My Hyundai has been a nice car when it runs well, which has for the last few years I'm turning around instead of going to Denver and, if I make there will bring this problem to the attention of HUB Hyundai, the people who sold this nice car and who made appropriate repairs as needed.
Update from Nov 3, 2016: Returned to Houston area Tuesday October 18, 2016, and called HUB Hyundai (the deal who sold and serviced my car since new), requesting service for my steering problem. The lady stated the soonest they could look at my car would be Thursday, October 27, more than a week later. Wednesday, October 26, got a call from them saying there were too busy, and rescheduled me for today, Thursday, November 3. Service advisor tried steering, said he knew what the problem was. An hour and a half later I got my car back and it steers like new again. Nicked me for nearly $390 for the service, saying they do most every day. Unhappy about how long I had to wait to get them to take it in, but once in they did do the work quickly and I am happy with the results.
