The vehicle was taken to patrick Hyundai in schaumburg, il where it was diagnosed that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 17V226000 (engine) at adamson motors (4800 us-52, rochester, mn 55901). Upon leaving the dealer, the contact heard a knocking noise again coming from the engine. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but had not replied. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
