Vehicle caught fire while parked and unoccupied. It seems as though the fire could have originated at the base of the driver's seat, causing damage to the interior of the vehicle and body.

My driver side seat has broken. The part where you can move it back and forth has detached and there is a space where the wires are showing.

My vehicle rattles and knocks all the time. It has a little over 65000 miles and has done this for years. I have taken it to the dealership and told it supposed to sound like that. The car has no power what so ever climbing hills and my gas mileage keeps going down. I have heard this is a common problem but I want it fixed as I dont fee this car is reliable as it has quit running one time before because of this problem. Something needs to be done before someones car cuts off and causes an accident and someone get killed. It does this anytime you give the car throttle. The second thing is the poor stitching in the leather seats. My seats started coming apart at the seams and the dealer says its not covered under warranty but I purchased a full 10 year 100000 mile warranty. This is poor materials and workmashipl I drive the car about 14 days a month and it shouldn't already have a coming apart.

The seat panel under the driver side has broken and separated from the bottom of the seat due to a small plastic piece braking that hold the panel on. Now when I get out of the car, the controls for the seat operation push down on the bottom of the door frame and the seat begins to rise up. This is not a problem other than when getting back into the car, I have partially torn my mcl in my right knee due to the seat being higher than expected and caused my right leg to hit the steering wheel as I entered the car, and forced it back out towards the opened driver side door. This was done in April of 2018. Hyundai offered me a cash settlement, but they did not guarantee me that part would continue to be repaired - it had already been repaired on multiple occasions.

For the second time within two years the drivers seat control panel frame once again came loose exposing the electrical wires. This makes it difficult to set the seat properly for driving. It makes the vehicle unsafe to drive if the seat is not properly set.

The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. While driving 60 mph, the driver's side power seat was moved forward and failed to stop without warning. After a few seconds, the power seat stopped moving forward. The vehicle was taken to an independent dealer where it was diagnosed that the power driver's seat switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred several other times after the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and she would have to pay for the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

The plastic cover where the driver's side seat controls are located breaks and comes loose. This could be a hazard and move the seat while driving. I've had it replaced twice and going in for a third time.

I have a 1 year old (30000 miles) Hyundai Sonata sport 2015. The driver seat adjuster nut(left hand side) came off all of a sudden. The nut fell off the assembly. It had (10) written over it. It was not comfortable driving with this. It led me experience bump on a clear freeway.

I was admitted into the hospital, where I had surgery and was told I had a hemorrhagic stroke. October 2015, I had 2 more strokes and surgeries. I never had a history of strokes, and was wondering could this be a part of an environmental issue with the chemical exposure from the new vehicle? any useful information would be greatly appreciate.

We purchased a 2015 Hyundai Sonata sport/L1 on 26 Dec 2014. My wife requires an extra cushion to sit on due lower back problems. Our previous car (2007 Chevrolet Impala) has sensors under the passenger seat that control the passenger air bag deployment. With my wife sitting on the extra cushion, the sensors correctly determined she was sitting in the passenger seat and set the airbag to operate if we were to be involved in an accident. Not realizing we were going to have a problem with the new Hyundai Sonata airbag sensors, we did not take the extra cushion along with us on the test drive. Three days later we discovered that the passenger airbag sensor did not recognize my wife sitting in the passenger seat while using her extra cushion for support. I brought this to the attention of the Hyundai service department where I purchased the car. Several attempts to correct the problem were unsuccessful, and I finally convinced the general manager to have the OCS system connected to the diagnostic computer and check the operating specifications. The general manager and the service manager informed me that the sensors were working properly, but they stated that Hyundai is now using a "gel pack" in the seat to sense if someone is sitting there. In the owners manual there is a note saying that a thick coat or extra cushion will not allow the sensors to operate properly. This seems to be a safety problem since anyone wearing a thick coat and sitting in the front passenger seat of the 2015 Sonata would not be protected by the airbag. Also, my wife is not the only person using an extra cushion for support while riding in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. We are now stuck with a new car that is unsafe for my wife to ride in "comfortably". we have experimented with "other" vehicles, and the extra cushion does not effect the sensors in them.
