My 2015 Hyundai Sonata has sheet metal defect in driver's side backdoor. These two marks are about 6" long and about 3 " apart and run parallel down middle of door. Looking straight ahead you cannot see marks but if you look at angle they look like creases but you can't feel them. Took back to dealership several times and finally they wanted their dentless paint repair contractor to take a look at it. His opinion was some type of metal defect from factory and he looked at some other new Sonatas and found same problems on different areas of the car.

Being the area my defective marks were in and being a black car, stood out more profoundly. Now I'm waiting on Hyundai regional service manager to look at car which is taking a month. The dealership service manager suggest a new door skin and painting the door in which I told him that was unacceptable. I suggested to him I either wanted to replace the car or my money back since it was a factory defect and the repairs would lower the cars value. So if you have a new Hyundai, look closely at your both sides of your car, lighter the car color is harder to detect and also I found marks are more visible on cloudy day since the sunshine creates more glare on car.

Update from Mar 25, 2015: Marks are related to cold weather. Colder the temperature the more profoundly they are. Whenever I first mention this to hyundai attention their factory representative question to me was did marks change with weather. At the time it was cold I couldn't tell. But during the meeting with hyundai a month later we actually seen marks almost disappear when car was inside building. Took outside where temperatures was around 40 and they reappeared. So its factory related metal issue. Hyundai has offer to give me the platinum extended warranty and a spare tire kit in return for no repairs made. I took offer since only option was to replace door and repaint and it could turn out worse than it was already is.
