The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the vehicle stopped suddenly on its own and was rear ended by another vehicle. The contact was able to drive the vehicle away from the scene of the collision. There was no medical attention received. A police report was filed. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
