I bought the car on Feb 28, 2015. I trade in a car with 135000 miles on board, to avoid spending a lot of money to fix some issue. One month later my brand new car with a bit over 1000 miles on board, broke in the middle of the road. ''Engine has overheated''. Took it to the dealer. Called next day and they told me they need to replace the entire engine. Of course is covered under warranty but what the heck. I am buying a new car for a reason. I don't want a major replace like this, or even worse to have a rebuilt or re-manufactured engine in my new car.
Of course no option to replace the car. They told that I will need to buy a new one and trade this one in. And now they are looking at the car as OLD and market value as of today, no really. So I called Hyundai opened a case and told them what I want, new car or refund so I can go get another brand. If not I will have to sue them and ask for a lot more money. This is really unacceptable, I wish I would have bought the Honda Accord or Toyota. Worse experience ever...
Update from Apr 15, 2015: Updates.. World Car Hyundai North, San Antonio TX. Replaced the engine with a re manufactured one, they also destroyed the hood in the process and a part of the frame, and no one called me to tell me anything. Lucky me I went there for a visit and they had to show me the car. Everything they've done to my car is illegal is a fraud, I never signed any work authorization papers, I actually told them from day one not to fix it cause I don't want this lemon back. But now, they fix it just because, who knows what else they destroyed or replaced to my car. They refused to give me any papers, a copy of them by law, so I had to go many times there and raise my voice at them to give me something, They treat me really bad, they are very rude. After tried to settle this with Hyundai directly and the dealership, then BBB Auto Line and all of them just wasted my time, I got an attorney and I will sue them. Hyundai doesn't even answer my email anymore, probably cause I am pushing this to much I don't want top let it go just because. I know they are counting on this with this game they are playing but I will not let this go.
