Bought as pre-owned from Enterprise. After 6 tank refills, getting only 15.76 mpg with about 50%+ interstate.

Fill your tank with premium fuel and you will be rewarded with an advertised range of 535 miles, but you will be hard pressed to ever get that range of mileage if you can get the tank to fill fully up. The range is realistically 400-425 miles, about the same as my 2014 Sonata Limited 2.0 that I turned in (no complaints on the 2014 at all).

We purchased this car thinking we would get near the advertised fuel economy of 24mpg/city, 35mpg/hwy for 28mpg/overall. After 3 months our overall mpg is 16.5/mpg. We traded an older Buick with a 6cy 3800cc engine that got nearly 26mpg/overall. The dealer is unresponsive to our complaint and won't/can't do anything about this. Our calls to the dealer are not answered or returned. We would have purchased another vehicle had we know about this mileage (FOR A 4cy ENGINE!!!!!)

With extremely (I mean really) conservative driving the car only picks up 22-23 MPG in the city where as advertised is 28MPG. On the freeway, I am getting about 32-33 MPG where as advertised is 38MPG. Very disappointed. If you drive more spiritedly, you can easily expect fuel economy to drop in the teen's for city as well as even highway driving if you're really on it. Normal driving on the freeway will net you about 26MPG though..
Sure if you use the cruise control at 65mph you might get 35MPG, but this is unacceptable. I don't expect to get exactly the advertised fuel economy, but I do expect to be around it...give or take a few mpg with "normal" driving.
Do note, I live in Los Angeles and 90% of my driving is in traffic through the city and/or highway. Still far below expectations..

This Hyundai Sonata is advertised to get 28 MPG city / 38 MPG highway. If so, then how come I'm only averaging 15 - 17 MPG? If Hyundai's advertised MPG was correct, I could be saving almost $1,000 a year! I drive this car about 5 times a week on average. I don't understand what's wrong with this fuel mileage. Hyundai needs to get this under control!

Gas mileage in City is 18-19mpg where as advertised in 24.

Hyundai advertises 25/37 city/highway mpg for Hyundai Sonata 2015. This is highly overstated. I believe Hyundai already had class action lawsuit about their overstated mileage claims.
I bought new 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited edition in Sep.2014 and I immediately noticed the mileage is nowhere near 37 mpg on highway. The best mpg you get when driving on highway at 60-65 mph is 31-32mpg and that is only if you drive very conservatively. More common is 29-30mpg when on highway. The combined city/highway mpg comes at 27. Hyundai is grossly overstating fuel economy on their cars.

Hope we can be compensated for giving an incorrect car features
Update from Aug 10, 2018: i'm getting low 15-17 MPG for this car. in city driving - terrible. I tried everything to be conservative in pressing my gas for the past 3 years ... but it didn't affect too much. I hope somebody could start a petition and to file a lawsuit to Hyundai giving false information on this car....we could save at least $1000.00 per year on our gas expense... we need help..
