The only way to kill the engine at this point is to keep the key turned on, place car in drive, turn key off, then move to park, engine will die on the way to park. This is also the only way I'm able to successfully kill the engine and be able to lock the doors with the key fob. If I place my foot on the brake and turn the car off slowly, sometimes the engine will die to, but if it doesn't die all the way it starts right back up, although with this way I am unable to lock the doors. The key is able to be removed only in the off position. When the key is removed and the ignition is still on, the car will accelerate and move at reduced power if turning key while still in gear. Once in park and the key is removed but car is still going, car will still accelerate but not be allowed to move into gear. Hopefully I have answers Friday as today is the day before Thanksgiving.
