I edited my first complaint to include the 2nd CEL/Limp Mode P0653.
This time CEL/Limp Mode, but no code shown on my reader. Sport + mode slowing down from around 40 or so mph no brake just wet clutch bringing my speed down.
I went to O'reilly and had them use their scanner. More of the same. They showed no DTC. Oddly enough the CEL went out the same day. Usually it takes a day or two.
This was after a bluelink notice that my 7500mi maintenance needed to be scheduled. This is the third time in 7552 miles that I've experienced CEL combined w/Limp Mode. The only saving grace is that each time I'm driving 40 mph or under.
Email from Hyundai blue link - 'A possible condition with your Engine Control System has been detected'.
A condition that shows no DTC? I'm averaging right at 2500 miles tp a CEL/Limp Mode combo. I took it to the dealer the first time. They offered nothing save clearing the code. On my account they do not acknowledge that I came in due to CEL/Limp Mode & DTC [P06543/P065312] They only own up to my visit being, 'maintenance'. How vague and how convenient.
I'm going to have to see something more from my ride before I take it in for service. It wasn't 'fixed' the first time as it happened again and now 3rd time w/o stored code seems as if I've saved two hours and two trips to the dealer. Stay tuned!

The fourth time CEL & limp mode was result of DTC P0653. My Hyundai account via Blue Link confirmed the third time as P0653 as well. The fourth time now averaging 2370mi to a limp mode that requires pulling over, turning the engine off and restarting. This time two lane rural blacktop 40-45mph.
On a positive note the Blue Link system records the time, date, mileage & code then stores it on my account.
