when i turn my ignition on and my car is idling, it makes a sort of very low "whistling" or "screeching" sound. i've been told it could be my fan belt, or it could be a bearing. i don't want to take it to a shop, and have them point out something that isn't even wrong. i'd rather just get the actual problem fixed. anyone know what this noise probably means?
