Tucson GLS 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 126,000 miles

Bought car at 99000 miles 18 months ago. Enjoy the ride and comfort. Only inherited problem was bad door actuators. Ricart (world's "largest Ford dealer"), a Hyundai dealer, charged me over $100 to "inspect and diagnose my door actuators, then telling me that they couldn't pinpoint a problem. I came to find out that the units are sealed and just need replacing. No more problems until now, when the engine threw a rod exiting a freeway ramp. Oil OK, No detectable cause. Now I must replace the engine or lose my whole investment, except, perhaps, $500 for salvage.
