My wife was driving this vehicle 2 weeks ago and smoke came out of the driverside hood. She pulled into a parking space then the smoke came out the other side. Vehicle was towed as it would restart to the dealership. They have not done anything to look at the problem today. I reported this to their corporate for their records again little help. Based on the actual happening my research tells me it is a ABS issue, which is recalled but they have not done thar either. I ask that you get involved for your records. The vehicle is at Priorty Hyundai in Chesapeake, VA. S Military Highway. I hope you can get involve as I am concerned they maybe trying to mask this incident.

This is a complaint related to the status of Hyundai's recall 251. The recall has gone on for months without a resolution, and puts me and my passengers at risk should there be a fire. On April 4, 2024, I received an email notice from Stafford Brown Hyundai that indicated a fix was ready for my car. I made an appointment to complete the fix, scheduled for Tuesday April 9. Two hours after dropping off my car, I received a phone call from Stafford Brown Hyundai indicating the fix was still not available for my car. They did not know when it would be available. This recall has gone on for an unacceptable length with no fix available. The risk to myself, my passengers, and my property is high. A resolution needs to be implemented now. Furthermore, Hyundai needs better management of how they communicate information to their dealers and car owners in regards to this recall, so as not to send inaccurate updates and create confusion.

No known malfunction at this time on my vehicle - however a recall #251 has been issued with no repair available. Recall strongly recccommends parking car outside and away from structures due to possible fire which can also occur during driving. This problem has been going on with Hyundai cars for several years - AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION"?? I called my two local dealerships and neither was aware of recall campaign 251. I asked if my ABS module completely failed - what module would they replace it with" I was advised that they would probably sell me a new one costing $1900 plus labor THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Hyundai is not taking this seriously - This is not being repaired in a timely manner. PLEASE RESTRICT THEM FROM SELLING ANYMORE CARS IN THE USA UNTIL THIS RECALL HAS A REMEDY!

I had my car repaired due to an open recall in April. I got in my car yesterday and while driving the car shut off and there seemed to be a liquid leaking from under the car. I had the car towed to Key Hyundai of Milford where the recall work in addition to other work was done. I am really worried because I could have gotten hurt if other cars where nearby. Also the dealership is saying it may take up to 2 weeks for them to inspect my vehicle. I need suggestions as to my best course of action.

My car had a recall that was going on for about a year with my car stalling and smelling of burning oil. Early this year a letter was mailed stating recall in being investigated, (campaign 181) the end of September I got the official letter about the recall and what I needed to do. It took a 1 weeks to get the car in. My car stalled twice during that time. Days before my car got fixed my car stalled twice, and I start hearing a loud noise in which I found out after the recall was fixed that my valve covers needed replaced. The technician said that it could not be fixed because engine was bad. I had a corporate representative who did nothing, and I had to call 500 times to have it escalated to a corporate manager. After I got a corporate manager is when grayson hyndaui decided to give me an estimate. My car has been parked at home since 9/24/2019 and I have paid to rent a car since that day an till this day. I want this resolved asap.

My 2011 Hyundai Tucson stalled while driving on a busy city road. I was going straight with 40 miles/hour when my vehicle suddenly lost power for unnown reason, and started slowing down, then completely stopped. The engine stopped, gas pedal was not responding. The check engine, oil pressure, and battery light came on at the same time when car stalled. Battery is a couple of months old, everything seem to operate normally except the vehicle does not start. Fortunately I was able to pull over to a turning lain to avoid any accident and called my insurance company to have the vehicle towed to safety. I have received a recall letter from Hyundai a few months ago, and immediately called the nearest Hyundai dealer to have the vehicle checked. The representative said they do not have the parts yet and they will contact me as soon as the parts are available. I have yet to receive a call and now my vehicle stalled. It is inoperable.

I parked the car 6/12/19 wed that evening and everything seemed ok. At 1030am the next day, 6/13/19, I tried to use electric key to unlock to go to work and realized it wouldn't unlock so I noticed black soot above driver window and tried manual key to unlock. I could barely crack to see the seat exploded on drivers side. Called 911 and firemen and politics arrived. The fireman completely opened the door and after examine said the heated seat device had exploded or malfunction and the back of seat was blown in a reclined to the back seat position and all windows completely covered in soot, and a very strong electrical fire smelll was observed. Below are photos of car which was parked and it happened during the night.

Hyundai motor America is conducting a safety recall to inspect, and if necessary, replace the engine assembly in certain model year 2010 through 2013 Hyundai Tucson vehicles equipped with 2.4 liter theta-II engines produced from March 3, 2010 to December 31, 2012 by Hyundai motor company at the ulsan plant in the republic of Korea. Safety risk the subject vehicles may have an engine oil leak from the seal between the oil pan and engine block which, if left unrepaired and operated over time could eventually lead to engine damage. A damaged engine could lead to high speed stall and in limited cases, a vehicle fire. My air conditioner has stopped working and two of my doors locking mechanisms are no longer working.

Tucson recall: The car seizes while in motion, and revs in motion without the driver pushing the accelerator/gas pedal - meaning the driver either is coasting or has a steady pressure on the gas pedal, and the seizing and reving of the car is more than and not equal to the pressure being applied to the pedal - so the car is "racing" even though the driver is not increasing pressure on the gas pedal. The car also stalls when first started, unless the driver revs the engine using the gas pedal in park. This has been occurring over the last year - despite the car being serviced every 3,000 miles - service provider cannot provide diagnosis or solution.

Takata recall : I have to drive 47 miles on a fast paced highway in southern Florida in order to get to my job, daily. Multiple times a week I experience a stall while traveling at high speeds on the highway. I took my car to a local Hyundai dealership recently and they did not even know about the upcoming recall. For months, I have been having to drive my car and feel unsafe. I have to go to work, and I do not have another vehicle option. I feel unsafe and am incredibly upset that Hyundai has not found a resolution yet. If this problem is not fixed soon I will be forced to get another vehicle, regardless of my financial situation. My next vehicle will not be a Hyundai, solely because of the amount of time this recall resolution is taking.

My air conditioner compressor had blown out and the dealer is saying it will cost $1200. I live in a state that has 100 degree weather. There has to be some accommodation for this. If I owed my Chevy they have a special policy for their customers. I will never buy another Hyundai their cars are crappy. I have a case number with Consumer Affairs 11380579. When the representative did cal we played phone tag for her to tell me I was basically out of luck

Occurs intermittently, but on a more frequent basis now, the shifter becomes blocked and the car can't be put in park. Both stability control and down hill lights come on during that time. Same has occurred while trying to get car out of park and in gear. This has occurred while car is stationary. It became a safety issue while parked on a down slope hill. Had to use E-brake and eventually find a flat road to park and use E-brake while trying to find a solution to securing the vehicle so it would not roll away.
