problem #2

Tucson GLS 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,218 miles

The vehicle will not stay charged. I bought a new battery and had it replaced. Every morning i wake up and the car battery has to be quick charged. There is a parasitic leak from faulty wiring in this vehicle.

Tucson LS 2.4L Dohc

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,300 miles

Had this problem twice. Each time, the car felt like the transmission went out - the car could only drive at 3-5 mph. Had the car towed to the dealership. First repair required 2 weeks - they replaced the wiring harness and then the electronic control module. 14 months later, same story -this time the repair took 3 weeks. I bailed on the car 2 weeks into the repair and lost thousands on the tradein.

Good news is that I replaced this rolling defect with a BMW. The bad news is that my claim for lost tradein value was rejected at every level of the company. Very sad.
