My car started to slightly jerk when beginning to drive, the next day, while crossing a very busy road, it made a loud clunking noise and harsh jerking. This happened 3 times and then subsided. I took my car to be looked at and was told I needed a brand new transmission. I have 129,000 miles on my car and never had any issues. This makes no sense! It's going to cost me $2300. The sunroof has also stopped working. This is my 3rd Hyundai, I've never had to have my transmission replaced with low miles. I work remote and live in Fl, I drive my car responsibly and never beat on it. I love Hyundai so much and my next car will be a Hyundai, but this is not right and could have caused me great harm when crossing the road. It is currently in the shop at Hyundai New Port Richey,

Car keeps throwing "P1326 glow relay short circuit" code. This is the 3rd time it has happened in 3 weeks of driving it. Engine power is limited, engine is knocking and squealing, wheels are locking up while driving, engine keeps dieing while actively moving and accelerator is pressed. Just purchased the car in used market with 105k on odometer. At time of purchase dealer indicated the they had to put a new top end into engine to get it to run. This car is the most expensive LEMON I have ever encountered!

Engine light started blinking and I could not accelerate anymore. After driving home, I figured out it was showing P1326 error. It didn't allow me to go above 60 mph or 2000 rpm. Further digging into the issue I figured out that this was a common issue with hyundai and kia cars, but there was no recall for my car. I took the car to dealship as it was still under warranty and they only updated ECU for knock sensor. No other repairs where done saying that there was no solution to the issue. Other cars get their engines replaced and get lifetime warranty. I got no repairs or extended warranty.

The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the vehicle would not exceed a certain speed and would jerk upon the depression of the accelerator pedal with the check engine warning light flashing on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where he was given an appointment to have the vehicle serviced but the dealer had not yet inspected the vehicle. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case manager. The vehicle had was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000. The vehicle continues to have knock sensor problems as set forth in the recall. The AC no longer blows cool air as well.

Engine started knocking and vehicle went into limp mode as my daughter left highway for her exit. When Hyundai attempted to replace engine, discovered 4WD transfer case seized into transmission preventing removal of engine, replaced engine, transmission, and transfer case. This is the same engine in the Santa Fe, and sonata which was recalled. Hyundai is still refusing to extend the recall to the Tucson too. So owners are not entitled to the extension on the extended warranty. Due to them not wanting anybody to know about this defect in the motors that the Tucson share with their other models. The government should of stepped up and made Hyundai honor the extension to include the Tucson model too. For all Tucson owners are left in the cold with a vehicle worth [xxx] since they are still having more problems with this 2.4L motor. Purchased as second owner on 8/18/16, mileage was 21,7946. On 03/16/18, was driving at approx. 40 mph when all the dash lights came on and the car came to a stop, no power. Towed to Hyundai dealer, was told crankshaft seized and the engine needed replaced. Mileage was 70,702 and I was told it was not covered by warranty because it was 702 miles over. Paid $4000 for a used motor. Got a letter recently telling me there was an issue with the software, and in looking I up discovered there were issues with this motor.

On Sunday I was at a flat dirt lot at a boat ramp... after my fishing trip I hopped into the car put it in reverse... backed out of my spot careful to look behind at all the trailers around me... stopped and shifted into drive... the backup camera turned off and the D lit up on the dash... I stepped on the gas and the car went in reverse... right into an empty trailer I had been so careful to avoid in the first place. Thankfully no damage happened to the truck towing the trailer or the steel framed boat trailer itself, but I have a large dent in the bottom half of the bumper. I took it to the dealership and they had it all day on Tuesday and couldn't figure out what could have happened. So basically I am stuck with a large dent and no fix... then this morning (Friday) I backed out of my parking spot at home... again a flat lot only this time its paved... and after shifting into drive it again was stuck in reverse... I had to stop put the car in park and then shift to drive to get it to work. Super frustrating!!!! this can potentially be extremely dangerous if someone is behind the car when it happens and the brakes aren't applied fast enough.
