My car started to slightly jerk when beginning to drive, the next day, while crossing a very busy road, it made a loud clunking noise and harsh jerking. This happened 3 times and then subsided. I took my car to be looked at and was told I needed a brand new transmission. I have 129,000 miles on my car and never had any issues. This makes no sense! It's going to cost me $2300. The sunroof has also stopped working. This is my 3rd Hyundai, I've never had to have my transmission replaced with low miles. I work remote and live in Fl, I drive my car responsibly and never beat on it. I love Hyundai so much and my next car will be a Hyundai, but this is not right and could have caused me great harm when crossing the road. It is currently in the shop at Hyundai New Port Richey,

I have been receiving recall notices from Hyundai since approximately March 2022 for a fire risk related to the anti-lock breaking system, and to date they have not implemented a repair or fix or given any indication of the time frame in which I can expect a fix to be completed. I went to the dealer several months ago and they indicated that they did not have any information on how long it would be until a repair is implemented. I just received another letter this week (November 2022), almost 8 months since my first notification, and the letter states the same information. Hyundai should have to provide replacement vehicles or reimburse us for our vehicle. I do not feel safe with a car that can suddenly catch on fire. In addition, I cannot simply park my vehicle outside or away from structures. I work in a Government building and park in a public parking garage for work with hundreds of other people in a highly populated area with no street parking. Their suggested solution is nonsense and unworkable. I am concerned that they are not doing what needs to be done to get this recall handled. It has also diminished the value of my vehicle and I could not possibly sell it or obtain the same value with an open recall with no foreseeable solution.

The engine malfunctioned within the first 8 months of me purchasing the vehicle. It just randomly stopped working one day. The dealership was able to succesfully replace the engine under warranty (at least that-??s what they told me they did) however, the same issue arose another 8 months later. I-??ve done everything I needed to do as far as getting the oil changed and maintaining the vehicle. The engine light would repeatedly flash on and off so I assumed it was a malfunction because I just had the engine replaced. I took it to a local mechanic to get evaluated and they determined the engine was really bad and needed to replaced again. I reached back out to the dealership to notify them and they reached out to my extended warranty company. The extended warranty company denied my claim stating it is not covered due to the engine causing the insides of the vehicle to melt. Now I have a car that I am unable to drive due to no fault of my own.

Car keeps throwing "P1326 glow relay short circuit" code. This is the 3rd time it has happened in 3 weeks of driving it. Engine power is limited, engine is knocking and squealing, wheels are locking up while driving, engine keeps dieing while actively moving and accelerator is pressed. Just purchased the car in used market with 105k on odometer. At time of purchase dealer indicated the they had to put a new top end into engine to get it to run. This car is the most expensive LEMON I have ever encountered!

Electric windows in the car are a safety hazard. I have replaced both front and back of the passenger side window switches because they do not allow the window to go up or down. I took it in for one window that would not go up and down and about a month later the second window went. I am knowing that in the future I will have to replace the other two as well. This can cause a serious problem if there is an accident and the occupants need to open windows to get out of the car. I am shocked that there is no recall to fix what ever electrical issue there might be with the windows. I just can't fathom that two windows would have the same problem within months of each other.

My car will not shift out of park. I was getting gas and when I started the car I could not move it out of park. I checked the manual and followed the instructions to press the shift lock system and then it moves out of park. If I put it back in park it locks again. It was running fine no issues prior. I know there were recalls for my car so am worried this is a huge safety issue for myself and children.

Bought car in Dec 2017. July 8, 2018, car caught on fire while driving. No issues before this event. No warning, care just went up in flames starting from under the car/the engine. There have been recalls on other models of Hyundai cars, but they do not include Hyundai tuscons. I think this needs to be investigated before someone loses their life due to this car.

The vehicle sits idle for two or three days and the battery is totally drained. The dealer has had the vehicle twice and cannot find a solution. The battery has been changed twice with no solution. Other owners have reported the same problem. The vehicle may operate properly for a few months but if it sits more than two or three days the battery is drained. The dealer has no solution. Searches for this problem have revealed several other vehicles with the same problem. The vehicle has been kept in a dark garage and observation of the vehicle has shown that no systems were left on by the driver.
