This is instance 2 of the issue. After having a pump installed from another vehicle, within a few days the vehicle stalled again. We purchased a new pump and had it installed. After about 2 weeks, the vehicle begin to cut out, the check engine light came on and the fuel sensor was not working. I checked on YouTube and there are a lot of videos showing how to change the fuel pump and fix the fuel gauge sensor. If the problem is this prevalent, it seems a recall or bulletin (TSB) is warranted.
