Front passenger door does not open from the outside after the doors are unlocked unless pulled multiple times (sometimes 3 or more times). Took the car to the mechanic and the dealership, and was told by both of them that they were unable to duplicate the problem. However, this is still an ongoing issue. Whenever I have a passenger in my car I must open the door from the inside.

In 2019 the drivers door started having intermittent problems opening. I made an appointment and the dealer determined that the door lock mechanism was bad and ordered parts. While awaiting parts the passenger door stopped opening (you had to get into to the car from the rear doors). The dealer ordered another door lock actuator and replaced them on both front doors. Hyundai covered the cost since it was just out of factory warranty and this appeared to be a known issue.

In early 2020 the passenger rear door would not open and it could only be opened if you pushed on the door from the outside, then a few days later it could not be opened at all. I made another appointment at the dealer and while that happened the drivers side rear door started having intermittent problems. The dealer determined that both doors needed new actuators just like the front doors. I had bought a Hyundai extended warranty after the front doors malfunctioned so I knew I only had the 100 deductible but asked if that could be waved since there was a known problem.

Hyundai's reply was that since I had an extended warranty I should have to use it (??????). I did ensure that the dealer documented the repair so that if there was a recall on this issue (since there are numerous complaints about the 2016 Hyundai Tucson doors on the internet), I wanted to be able to get my deductible back. I believe this to be a safety issue. As most of the doors quickly reached a point to where they could not be opened from the outside or inside, and in an emergency this could lead to an emergency situation.
