This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
Went to the grocery store. Came back out & started the car. Went to pull out of the parking spot & the car had NO power steering. I drove the car to the dealership (about a mile) & it SAT there for over 18 days while they ordered a new module --- FROM KOREA !!! This was problem #2 for this car in less than 3 months. Again a HUGE disappointment.

2016 Hyundai Tucson with approximately 50,000 kilometers on it started rattling in the steering column. Rattling became worse over time. Had it diagnosed by a local shop. Power steering motor needed replacing. Cost of the motor is approximately $986.00 plus labor at 61,000 km.
It doesn't matter what kind of "consumer rating" you get from J.D. Power or how much they tell you they value your business. If it's out of warranty because of TIME and not USE, they don't care about you.
It's being replaced with the exact same motor that FAILED so there is no telling when it's going to happen again...I just know that it almost certainly will! Hyundai refuses to acknowledge steering issues on this model and year but upon investigation, they do happen a lot! This was my first Hyundai and it will be my absolute LAST!
This is just one of several problems I have had to fix out of pocket. NEVER buy Hyundai!
