Tucson Limited 3.2L

I bought the car when there were NO used cars available in June 2021. Karfax said they had replaced the window regulator in the front passenger window. That seemed good. Then the back window wouldn't go up juist 3 months later. It's raining out.... so I can't use my car. Are you kidding? I drove with a garbage bag taped over the door for a week waiting for the part to arrive. No recall. It's now happened to the driver side window. OMG. But that's in my next complaint.

power window malfunction

2007-2017 Hyundai Tucsons (and probably others) were designed with a plastic gear that disintegrates with age, usually 3-5 years after the warranty runs out. All the other components are nylon or delrin and hold up well, including the gear that drives this gear. It is an integrated panel so you have to buy a whole new panel @ 300 to 500 dollars a shot plus labor. The part itself is made in Korea where it sells for under $100. Since all four windows will fail eventually, this is a $2000 - $3000 ripoff.

So far I've had three windows fail in this way, and I'm just gritting my teeth waiting for the next one...

I have the power window check and according to the dealer the parts not under warranty anymore because it already past the 24k miles warranty. But I rarely even open my windows and all of them stopped working one after the other. The worst part is they put a screw on the driver side and front passenger side window without even asking me first.
