Everything was working fine but now that I look in retrospect the transmission had acted a little bit strange seeming to shift at different points which might have been skipping gears such as second and fourth gear and 6th Gear. The car drove fine and I came home and then reverse would not work and I had a dash light. Disconnected battery terminals and still no reverse. I am the second owner so therefore only 5 years 60,000 miles probably applies to me so took it to a local transmission shop after talking with the local Hyundai dealership.
They started diagnosing it finally today but I have not gotten anything from them except for the fact that it does not shift into the even gears or reverse. They are researching the issue. I'm not sure if this is a TCM issue or a oil pump issue in the transmission her recall 236 which for some dumb reason applies to almost every 2018 vehicle except for the Tucson with the DCT transmission. Why is the Tucson not covered?
