Due to COVID-19 I have not had the chance to drive my Tucson as often as I normally would, but I bought the car new on 2/24/2020 and ever since then I have noticed the idle noise is extremely loud (it doesn't sound within 'normal' range for a 4-cyl) and rough. This tends to dissipate upon acceleration but returns for the duration of the ride. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I hope that this problem is not connected to the countless transmission problems the 2016-2018 Tucson's are notorious for. My mother-in-law has a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and at idle the noise is loud and it idles high/rough. Perhaps it's just a Hyundai quirk? I have had Honda Civic's in the past and they never sounded like this.
