Mar 112024

Tucson LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,000 miles

Powertrain per car digital detector. Car stalled. Kept saying it was in neutral. Every light came on. Emergency break kept popping on. Had to hold gas pedal down to release blk smoke. Tow truck driver was able to drive car on flat bed. Waiting for Stivers Hyundai to open tomorrow.

Update from Mar 14, 2024: Update: if was fuel injector. Had to get Injector assy-fuel, pipe-high pressure, combustion seal ring. The recommendation is to use fuel injector once a month.

Tucson SE AWD

  • Automatic transmission
  • 370 miles

Purchased new 2022 SUV TUCSON on May 22, 2021. 6/7/21 Vehicle was cut off while driving on busy 2 lane road. Coasted to side of road with horns blowing at me. Vehicle restarted but would not move when Drive or Reverse engaged. Hyundai Assistance notified vehicle towed to closet Dealership.

6/8/21 Informed by Asst. Service Manager that there was no one trained to work on the newly released 2022 TUCSONs. Employees should be trained to work on all vehicles before they are released onto the market for purchase. General Manager of Dealership and Cooperate Office contacted for assistance (I would like a vehicle buy back or repurchase vehicle).

6/15/21 Finally Service Dept. working on vehicle, during which they have given me several reasons as to what was wrong with my SUV. I don't think they know.

6/16/21 The last information received informed me that the transmission fluid leaked out the vehicle damaging the transmission which now needs to be replaced. (I haven't seen any current fluid leaks on my garage floor). I was informed the transmission has to be ordered before it can be replaced.

6/21/21 Vehicle still not ready. We are afraid of the vehicle - you don't expect to have dangerous safety issues with a new vehicle that has 370 miles on odometer.

6/28/21 Working with Consumer Affairs about wanting a buy back on the vehicle. I am not impressed with the new 22 TUCONS I hope they do a recall on this dangerous vehicle. If anyone else has an issue with the TUCSON please add a complaint - the more complaints the sooner the recall. SAFETY ALWAYS before financial gain.
