Tucson SEL 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,156 miles

it only had 8K miles on it and already a slight to moderate brake pulsation. also, could hear a growling noise when accelerating. seems like the exhaust rattling.

Update from Jul 3, 2025 After the original complaint, I had purchased new wheels with snow tires. When I tried to remove the first original wheel, the lug nuts were so tight that I had to use a breaker bar to loosen. When I checked with torque wrench to see how much torque was needed to loosen, it was over 200 ft lbs. I immediately called the dealer and they asked me to bring it in. When I pointed out that this could be the reason for the pulsation they tried to deflect. However, after a bit of raised voice negotiations, they agreed to turn the rotors. This helped for about a month or 2 as the pulsation slowly came back. At this point I figured it was time time to just replace the brakes and rotors which I did. The pulsation was totally gone for about 2 months and it slowly came back. I've been driving the car for 4 months and the pulsation is excessive. Now I'm looking at replacing the wheel hubs and will also replace the rotors again. I will probably trade this car in on something other than Hyundai!! This would have been my 6th Hyundai and up to now I've always like them. No more! this care was overpriced and it under performed and was aggravating to drive.
