This is my second complaint about the same problem that I have had for over a year. I am out of patience, and I have taken my car back to the dealership today for the same issue as last year. Today, I received the same answer... It's covered for some models BUT NOT YOUR Model. I have filed a case # with Hyundai Customer Service today and expect a Hyundai case mgr, to contact me within a week.

I have owned a lot of cars in my lifetime but never experienced a car whose steering wheel feels like it's going to pull of the steering column at any time, especially on a car that's only four years old.

I will post a third complaint if I do not get any satisfaction from my Hyundai Service Case Worker.

I took my car to the mechanic because the steering wheel started to have some play in it. While driving on the road, the steering wheel starts to violently shake. He knew exactly what it was and told me it was going to cost $300 to replace a $13 part.

I called Hyundai USA and they acted like they have never heard of this issue but when I went online, there were numerous complaints about the same issue. He advised me to call a local service department and get an estimate because this is not a recall issue and the car was out of its warranty.

This car is also from Doral Hyundai in Doral, FL. I contacted their service department and before I could even finish explaining the issue the service adviser stopped me and said that this is a common problem to bring it in and it would cost $300. Why is this not a recall issue? The same problem is going on with other models of their cars as well.

Not only that, in order to have it serviced there I would have to wait 2 more weeks as they have no available appointments. I cannot let my wife continue to drive this car as it sits because if that coupling gives out any more she could lose all control of the steering. I have filed a complaint with the NHTSA as well because I know I am not the only one.
