Veloster R-spec 1.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 118,000 miles

After my vehicle surpassed 90,000 miles it has started consuming excessive amounts of oil. I spend a ridiculous amount of money and religiously check it so I don't throw a rod. It's not leaking, this I'm sure of, so the problem with consumption of oil is that Matter doesn't disappear it changes form.... simple chemistry. And these waste products of the oil consumption are going to build up and reduce the life of my vehicle or worse. And hyundai doesn't care. There was a class action lawsuit, but because my car has not caught fire or seized up, I'm not entitled to financial compensation.

Was I properly informed by hyundai about this issue... no.

Would I have bought this vehicle had I known... no.

Should hyundai be held accountable for their omission of truth...absolutely.

Will I ever purchase a hyundai or kia ever again. Absolutely not I don't think it's loyal or transparent with their customers

I have attempted to file 2 complaints with Hyundai motor company, they keep telling me its not their problem. I am adding approximately two quarts of oil per week. I have spent 1000s of dollars on testing and oil. It has ruined the catalytic converter. Saw there is a class action lawsuit in CA for this exact issue, and I'm hoping to get some suggestions on what to do next.
