So when leaving from a complete stop in drive letting off the brake petal, and letting the vehicle start rolling itself in drive will start vibrating and making clunking metal noises. Will keep doing it unless I either do two of the following things step on the accelerator petal, or push on the breaks and come to a complete stop. And when the vehicles front wheels are turned when taking off from a stop it's 2 times worse. It does it about 2-3 times daily. I've taken it to Hyundai dealership to fix under the warranty and they claim that everything is normal. Don't understand how this is possible tho because of the persistent problem I keep facing. Please maybe look into this as something send not right.

While driving home from work, car stalled and would not go over 5 mph. Had vehicle towed to dealership where they diagnosed a failed catalytic converter (19,038 miles). Unit was replaced under warranty. Recently, same exact problem happened again. Driving home from work, stalled, had vehicle towed. Dealership says failed catalytic converter led to lower engine failure. Reported unit under warranty, but would be over a month to get a short block for replacement. After reading about other models with excessive exhaust temps causing failures, I am concerned that this problem is going to reoccur. I have never heard of catalytic converters failing on new cars and certainly not twice with under 30,000 miles on the vehicle. Second failure happened Saturday Feb 16, 2019. Car is still at the dealership.

The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Veloster. While reversing into the driveway, the vehicle shook and there was an unknown abnormal noise underneath the vehicle. In addition, the front driver's side seat belt failed to retract. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 23,784.

When accelerating from a stop the car hesitates, then jumps forward, that hesitates again before accelerating normally. This is the usual behavior when accelerating from a stop, whether accelerating rapidly or smoothly. The behavior has always been present since the car was new. The dealer claims it is normal behavior but it is a behavior I've never experienced other cars.

When the car is stopped at a light or in traffic with the foot on the break when you release your foot off the break the car lurches forward - must be something with the new dual clutch 7-speed transmission. Please Hyundai fix this before someone gets hurt or killed

Car sometimes accelerates by itself even when off the gas and on the brakes. Lunges in stop and go traffic. Passing gear sometimes revs up to 6500rpm's but stays in the current speed. Sometimes car stays at a certain RPM even if not on the gas and wont slow down. Bad lag and terrible dead spots in acceleration. I feel like transmission is not communicating well with control module and gas pedal position sensor is way off the mark. Car has put me in life threatening situations but Hyundai service says they cant reproduce the problem but only drove it 7 miles. I bought car brand new and just turned 5800 miles but has been back for this problem 4 times now.
