problem #2

Jul 292020

Veloster 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

Engine failure at 74000 loss of power no lights. It just slowed down and had no power. Would run but couldn't move the car

Update from Aug 20, 2020: It was a bad rod like the other 30% of base models that have engine failure

Veloster

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,400 miles

I just purchased this car about 3 months ago, now it has 2,400 miles on it.

I just brought it back to the dealer for trouble shooting the lag on acceleration. Its tragic when you can't trust the car to either pass or get you out of an issue. The dealer has never had this problem on Velosters, they will be contacting Hyundai to see what can be done.

I hear it might be a software issue???

I will update as soon as I hear the results
