The driver assist is super nice on long trips but the car will occasionally yank the steering wheel if it determines you’re going to far out of the lane or if a turning lane is near.
It tends to favor the right hand turn lanes and pulls very bad when you’re driving through an intersection.
It has done this since the car was new and it still makes me jump out of my skin when it takes over while I’m driving and forces me to grip the wheel and try not to hit the car next to me if it decides I need a lane correction.
It can be super dangerous on icy roads and can cause a wreck if someone isn’t experienced in driving in winter weather because the car will just randomly take control of the steering and try to ‘keep you in your lane’. We’ve had this car 4 years and it makes driving the car feel unsafe.
I turn it off when I drive the car because it feels like it puts myself and others at risk when the car is being driven on city streets.
