Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). The fuel pump on 2007 Hyundai Veracruz fuel pump is not properly functioning to SUV potential. Avg 12.6. after several investigation from people that have change the fuel pump has increase their performance sizeable fuel savings. If you read in several of reports from customer that own Veracruz they have reported consistently the same problem. My question is why are they so reluctant to do anything with the fuel problem. I hope you will see if there is real need to make changes. [xxx]

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle shut off and lost total power. The contact was able to coast over three lanes into the emergency lane. He shut off the vehicle for fifteen minutes before restarting it and drove to the nearest gas station. The contact filled up the gas tank and continued driving. The contact scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle diagnosed. He believes the cause of the failure was the fuel pump and filed a complaint with Hyundai (case number 3328313). The current and failure mileages were 3,961.
