I purchased the car in 2012. The dashboard started to bubble in 2014. I went to the dealership and they said the recall had expired three days before. I never received a recall notice because apparently the dealership where I bought the car never registered me as the new owner. Infiniti refused to cover it. The highway commission person told me recalls don't expire. This has continued to get worse where it has bubbled the entire dashboard even though I have a mat to cover it. It is embarrassing and certainly should be an embarrassment to Infinity.

I called Infiniti about a bubbling dashboard on my 2006 Infiniti FX35. I am the original owner on the vehicle and have lived at the same address 25+years. Three different customer support people told me it was a manufacturing defect and letters were sent out about getting it fixed free of charge and they were not responsible if I never received it!
This vehicle has been garaged since I bought it and only has 52,000 miles on it. This was a very expensive vehicle and I am very upset that I spent so much money on this vehicle and the dashboard in it is pretty much ruined due to a manufacturing defect I was never notified about. I will NEVER buy another Infiniti product (two of the three representatives tried to get me to buy a new vehicle!) and I will warn everyone I know about this poor customer service on a supposed luxury brand!!

It is absolutely unacceptable for a company of the size of Infiniti to sacrifice their reputation just to save some of the dollars for which they are responsible. Is it acceptable for me to find my fx35 dashboard filled with bubbles with this disgusting look and it is getting worse. And when I contacted Infiniti, they told me, unfortunately, we made a recall to change this as a manufacturing defect 7 years ago, but now it has expired...
What does it mean? Expired ?? Aren't you the ones who made this part with cheap and untested raw materials? Aren't you responsible for that? What a shame!!!
