Contacted Infiniti customer service about a crack in the dashboard of our 2011 Infinit G37x. Was basically told since there was no recalls concerning crack dashboardson this model they would not help. Very disappointed and upset since car has been maintained inside and out and all interior surfaces are treated weekly with a surface protectant.vCrack is on passenger side where air bag is located and also around the passenger AC vent. A search of the internet reveals others who have the same problem with this model. You would think a company like Infiniti would step up and take responsibility for what is an obvious manufacturing defect and do what is right for their customers. Will continue to fight with them until this is resolved.

We purchased this "luxury" vehicle and have been extremely disappointed with dash board and side panels of vehicle. The exterior if in excellent condition as this car is kept in a garage. We are trying to see what can be done as this is unacceptable.

Top of dash is so sticky it can’t even be wiped down with a dry micro fiber towel. Lint sticks to it permanently. If you try to remove the lint part of the dash comes off with it leaving a sticky gouge or smear in the dash texture.
Front of the dash is not sticky but just full of cracks and deteriorated. The dash falls off if you barely touch it in some areas like in the photo around drivers a.c. vent
I live in S. Florida and have dark tinted windows and diligently use a sun shade everyday. Very disappointing for a so called luxury car.

My dash has developed cracks near the radio and passenger side air bag. There is also a soft sticky spot in the center top of the dash. I had thought Infinity was a top auto company but their after making a complaint to them about the issue they basically told me it was my problem and that they were not going to do anything about it.
I have looked into paying for the repair myself and it is going to cost over 2000.00 dollars to repair the defect. I live in south Florida and I believe the is that the material they used to make the dash is not standing up to the temperature changes. That makes it a factory defect.

These dashboard problem exists in most Infinitis and Nissans. There is no solution by Nissan. The dealers have no fix other than to replace the dash for about $3500. There has not been a recall. My car is garage kept 2011 with 40,000 miles.
