This appears to be a common issue for Nissan/Infiniti of this era. 3.2 million cars were recalled for the exact same issue but the G37 somehow didn't make that cut. Any search engine will tell you that there are several G37s out there plagued with the same issue - and the fix is a new seat to the tune of $7,000. This is an extreme liability issue - Takata made millions of faulty airbags and that ultimately resulted in a class action lawsuit and recall. How many deaths will it take for this to become the next lawsuit?
